The Gift of Greatness...

Everybody has greatness in some way, shape, or form... what makes us different is how we internalize this greatness... We can act like we aren't great, and self-loathe until our confidence is nonexistent.... We can take our greatness as though we are one of the only great things on this earth and become overly-confident and arrogant... Or we take our greatness as a gift and be appreciative for it... it does or doesn't have to mean a higher being gave it to us, but what's undeniable is that our greatness can be stripped from us in a split-second.... This fact alone should make us humble and thankful for our gift of greatness and we should savor it and use it to improve our own lives and the lives of others...

?EDIT:
To think that greatness is a gift is a mistake of what greatness is... Gifts are things given to us. Greatness doesn't come until one realizes their potential for greatness, it is earned. The gift: Everyone has the POTENTIAL for greatness in some way, shape, or form. It doesn't necessarily take confidence to be great... Pride is the derivative of greatness. Conceit is the father of overconfidence. Cockiness is the haymaker that blindsides you when you are least prepared. The fact that there are others that have the potential to be great (therefore, someone always worthy of being greater than ourselves) is what should motivate us to be the greatest (although we never really can be because we can always do better) we can and for productivity sake we should always try to help others achieve their greatness so that we may reach our full potential and be the greatest that we can be as super evolved animals.
